For the first time in Egytian basketball history Egypt will play from 8-12 raking in Africa cup of nations held in Libya. The worst posison Egypt had ever was the 4th in Angola 2007,sinigal 1997.We should admit that Egyptian Basketball is suffering and fallining down every day and all soloutions made by the federations from 1994 till now is taking basketball to the wrong way. I had a talk with Fathy Abd El Azeez one of the players of our national team in 1994 he said' I cant believe that we could lose from Maly, Libya , We used to crush these teams at least 30 points'.
However, we hope that the new federation start a new long term plan to recover from the current bad setuation starting with the following:
1- Punishing any player who refuses to play for the national team.

2- Changing the current way that the Egyptian league was done for more than 8 years to make it more productive.
3- Consentrating on our under 18 national team players like Amr Elgendy, Omar Tarek,....others , the champions of Africa.
