Physically, UCU Canons beat Ivan Enabu on Friday night in what seemed like a punishment for leaving in the off-season to join Kyambogo Warriors.
They needed more than that. Enabu aided Warriors’ charge towards a crushing 87-67 victory over his former side on Friday night.

Former teammate Sande Okot dished three of his four fouls on Enabu but couldn’t stop him from collecting 18 points as Warriors won their opener.
Instead, the guard, often poor with his shooting in key moments, made UCU pay by sinking 11 of his 14 free throws.
“I thank God for the ability,” Enabu told Daily Monitor after the anti-climatic game at YMCA court. “I decided to focus on the game and put all emotions aside.”
Ex-Warriors forward Martin Okwako (13), guard Adams Njoroge (18) and centre Robert Ogweno should have heeded that advice not to get ejected like they all did in the fourth period.
