Charging Rhino and Nkumba Marines are both former MTN-Fuba League champions with distinct journeys.
Those roads will be parallel no more when the two clash in a Division One game at YMCA Court, Wandegeya today.

Demoted four years ago, Rhino survived extinction to bounce back, something that gives shooting guard Mark Opio immense pride.
“Many players left when we went down. It’s not easy to get promoted again because division two is very competitive,” said Opio.
As captain, top scorer and Most Valuable Player (MVP), he also carries extra responsibility.
“It’s important to lead by example. There’s lots of pressure, attention and expectation. To cope, I come early for practice,” he added.
Most of his support should be shouldered by Walter Omony against an extremely unpredictable team that fell well below expectations last year. Coach Timothy Odeke blamed the lack of consistency from the two-time champions for their failure to finish higher than sixth.

But under his tutelage, guards Ladislas Ikungura and Julius Lutwama plus forward Philip Wakimwero have proved to be as good as anyone in this division.
