KENYA Ports Authority (KPA) will host their first Premier League show this weekend when Ulinzi Warriors come calling at the Makande Welfare Hall. According to the fixtures released by Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) competitions secretary Joseph Amoko, the portsmen will have their hands full when they host former six-time national champions in what should be a fiercely fought duel. The other match to be played in Mombasa will be a lower division tie pitting newly promoted Kenya Navy against Parklands Baptists.
KCB whose last game was a disaster against Co-op Bank of Kenya return to meet Strathmore University and Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University at Nyayo Stadium. Strathmore beat KCA 51-42 over the weekend and hope for a repeat performance. Unbeaten Co-op, who have had a three week rest since stopping Lions have a date with lowly Blazers. The women's matches will see Predators and Gladiators host Western Delight at Nyayo. The Kakamega-based team started off well winning their two home matches. Storms take on Strathmore. Both teams experienced mixed results over the weekend with Storms beating Kenya Polytechnic University 73-21 and losing to Eagle Wings 58-38 while the students won against rivals United States International University (USIU).
