Of all the 16 teams across three divisions in the MTN-Fuba League play-offs, Kyambogo Warriors could be feeling the largest share of anxiety.

The men’s division one champions might find themselves playing second fiddle when their best-of-five semifinal series against UCU Canons starts tomorrow at revamped MTN Arena, Lugogo.

And Warriors coach Gad Eteu is bearing most of the muted expectation following their disastrous regular season losses to UCU including a 91-79 second round rout.

“I think we lost as the team tried to make everyone understand their roles but that’s now sorted,” Eteu said. In an interview with Saturday Monitor, the championship-winning coach asserted the need to stick to his own style rather than chase UCU.

“They are different from us because of their speed. We must stick to what we believe in as using their tool to beat them is impossible,” he explained.
In other games, champions KCC Leopards face A1 Challenge in an evenly balanced series. Two division two best-of-three semifinal series against will also take centre stage at the YMCA court.
