SEYCHELLES : Basketball Federation Cup - Mont Fleuri in repeat final against HotShots

MONT FLEURI are in the women’s Seychelles Basketball Federation (SBF) Cup final after beating RA Sisters 61-33 on Thursday at Victoria Gymnasium.

Coached by Tony Juliette, Mont Fleuri won all four quarters – 12-7, 12-9, 23-7 and 14-10 – to meet HotShots in a repeat of last year’s final.
Bernadette Songor led Mont Fleuri in scoring with 12 points, but Tessa Mathiot of RA Sisters finished as the game’s highest scorer with 14.
HotShots booked their place in the final with a big 69-38 win over Anse Etoile Stars.
If they win the October 30 final, they will complete a second consecutive league and cup double.
HotShots swept last year’s best-of-three final series, winning game one by a 21-point margin – 72-51 – with centre Tina Agathine scoring 24 points, mostly from second-chance shots she got from under the board.

In game two, Myra Solin played like a real power forward and Jenita Toussaint rediscovered her shooting prowess from beyond 3-point range with three treys to help HotShots to a 63-49 victory to complete a first league and cup double.
