WHETHER Stephen Omony and Norman Blick would blend in on the same team and put their egos aside was a discussion topic a month ago.
But right now the indispensable duo will do anything to orchestrate Miracle Eagles debut journey to the playoffs.
Omony’s almost triple double of 19 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds and Blick’s 12 points instigated victory for the Eagles past the unlucky KIU Titans at the at YMCA on Sunday.
Just like Blick said after the game, God was on the Eagles’ side. His foul on Joshua Etalu when the sides were tied at 64-64 failed to yield victory for the Titans when Etalu missed both throws forcing overtime that Eagles dominated to eventually win 76-71.
In the second division, UCU JV maintained an unbeaten streak with a 81-55 win over St. Michael, while in the women Makerere Sparks beat Nabisunsa 63-53.
