In-form Bricks have rediscovered their winning formula in their quest to reclaim the Southern Zone Basketball League (Sozobal) title.
Bricks without their key players pounced Chanco Hawks 81-46 at Blantyre Youth Centre on Sunday.
League leaders Magang'a dethroned Bricks last season.
The Bricks senior player Richard Chavula emphasised on the need to keep their title campaign on track.
“We need to win our remaining games convincingly to enhance our chances of winning the title,” he said.
Chavula warned defending champions Magang’a to avoid slip ups.
“We managed to collect maximum points when some of our top players were absent. This is an indication that we have rediscovered our touch,” he said.
Bricks were without offguard Victor Jere, George Mwale, Weluzani Chingota and Atusaye Mlagha.
They relied on the services of Alinane Harawa, Tendai Banda and Talumba Mkandawire to swept past Hawks.
Meanwhile, Magang'a are topping the table with 19 points from 10 games while Bricks are second with 15 points but have two games in hand.
In other matches, Cobbe defeated fading giants Falcons 79-76 at the same venue.
On Saturday, Falcons also lost to newcomers Bangwe Bucs 74-58 while Cobbe were given free points after Poly Bobcats failed to show up for the match.
