The former Coordinator of the Invincible Eleven Basketball Team, Emmanuel Taylor has pledged his support to NIC boss, Dr. Richard Tolbert and his team of contestants to take over the affairs if IE. Mr. Taylor believes that the current composition of men who are vying for the leadership of the Invincible Eleven (IE) headed by Dr. Tolbert is the right group that can uplift the hope and aspirations of the club. He noted that for too long the club has suffered at the hands of people with selfish aims. “It is about time we support people who have the passion to develop the game,” he added. “It is glaring that this team is the dream team to take IE out of the years of bondage and will at the same time deliver what was long expected from past leaders,” Mr. Taylor further stated.
Those on the team includes Dr. Tolbert for President, Francois Junius candidate for Vice President for Administration, Alfred Sayon, candidate for Vice President for Operation, Momolu V.O. Sirleaf,National General Secretary and former IE player, Jonathan B. Sogbie, Vice President for Fan Club. Recently, Dr. Richard Tolbert disclosed plans to rejuvenate the hope of the Invincible Eleven (IE) Majestic Sports Association, one of Liberia's leading traditional clubs. IE is currently going through a period of transition, a condition that has affected almost all the activities within the nations 'yellow boys.'Dr. Tolbert said that when elected; his administration will focus primarily on the creation of what he called a 'world- class Invincible Eleven Majestic Sports Association, Inc. as well as a winsome soccer, basketball, and other athletic activities.
In his mission's statement, the NIC boss promised to “develop and promote programs which aims to tap the natural talents and skills of all players and athletes of the association so as to enable them derive economic, social, and moral rights/ as well as benefits from their talents.” Former IE president Kadiatu Findley is also contending for the IE presidency. Meanwhile, fans and supporters of IE are expected to go to the poll to elect a new team of leadership for the association this weekend.
