After suffering a home lose to Kada Stars basketball club of Kaduna, Yelwa Hawks basketball club of Bauchi bounces back to handed visiting Niger Potters basketball club of Minna 68-50 points defeat in a mid-week Savannah conference pairing of the DStv Premier Basketball League.
The Hawks who narrowly missed the final-8 playoffs looked good from the blast of the referees whistle against the visiting Potters who picked an away win last weekend when it defeated Immigration basketball club of Kano by 61-58 points.
The win for the Hawks thus bring their record to a 1-1 record to move to the second spot of the conference behind conference leader, Kada Stars basketball club who has won two away games (Vs Immigration 85-44 and Yelwa Hawks 73-70).
Yelwa Hawks will have its hands full this weekend when it pay a visit to the home court of defending champion, Kano Pillars basketball club in Kano, Potters will have a feel of its refurbished home court when it hosted Plateau Peaks basketball club of Jos on Sunday in Minna.
