ANASTACIA Njeri Mburu has quit the UCU Lady Canons and is set to pursue a bachelors degree in Information Technology in the United States.
She traveled after attaining a sports scholarship.
The reigning Zone V Club Championship MVP inspired UCU to the national ladies basketball crown last year.
She signed for the UCU Lady Canons last year from Kenya’s Eagle Wings that she led to a country's national league title in 2009.
Mburu also masterminded Eagle's Zone V Club championship victory last year.
“This is what I have always wanted and it is an opportunity to play basketball at another level,” said the excited Njeri who is already in the US.
