Dar es Salaam Basketball (BD) has relegated Bias of Mbagala for not fielding the team in their last three RBA League matches.
Speaking to The Citizen yesterday, BD technical advisor Manase Zabloni said the Mbagala-based team did not give reasons for their no show.
The RBA League, which got underway last month, has seen Bias play only one match against Magereza. Despite demonstrating their fighting spirit, Magereza reduced them to novices after posting a convincing 94- 40 victory. After the big margin defeat,
the Mbagala-based team decided not to field the team against Tanblacks, Savio and Pazi.
"We have no option but to relegate them because they haven't played three matches and haven't given us concrete reasons for their no show," Manase said.
He said: "We aren't gaining anything from their participation since fans want to watch games and their opponents don't want walkover victories, thus I believe we are right to expel them."
According to the official, Bias will have to compete in the Mini Basketball League in order to win promotion to the RBA League.
