The Executive Board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF will hold its first meeting of 2011 on Wednesday January 5, 2011 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to ratify the programme for year 2011.
The board will also look at the proposed introduction of a National Open Women Championship which is aimed to compliment the Zenith Bank Women League and the coaches and players education programme at the age-group level which seeks to address issues related to age-falsification and set a clear criteria for selecting coaches for national assignment at that level.
The Executive Board Meeting will also consider the federation national assignment for 2011 vis-a-vis Nigeria participation in the 2011 Afrobasket for Men and Women in Cote d’Ivoire and Mali, the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women in Chile, the 10th All Africa Games in Mozambique among other events.
The League Board is to consider the 2010/ 2011 budget and fixtures of the DStv Premier League and to ratify the January 29, 2011 jump-ball date of 2010/ 2011 season.
